The new Jeep Wrangler has some exciting new features, including refreshed styling, an updated infotainment system with a larger screen, and some trim-specific upgrades including a stronger rear axle and more options for the Rubicon. The Wrangler still offers our customers here in Lancaster some of its fan-favorite features, however, including its exceptional off-road capability, powertrain options, a removable top and doors and plenty of other options for a custom finish.
Trim Levels
The Jeep Wrangler family has a great selection of trim levels for Victorville shoppers to consider. The base model is the Sport. Second in line is the Sport S, followed by the Sahara, Rubicon, High Altitude and Rubicon 392.
The Sport comes with fog lights, tow hooks and skid plates. The Sport also has steel wheels and basic technology including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®.
The Sport S comes with 17-inch aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and Remote Keyless-Entry. The Willys, a close sibling of the Sport S, has rock rails and 33-inch BSW Off-Road tires.
By upgrading to the Sahara, you'll get more luxury amenities such as larger 18-inch wheels, a body-colored grille, and fender flares. While you can get four-wheel drive with select trims, it's standard on the Sahara. It adds more creature comforts too, including a keyless entry system, automatic climate control, and an upgraded driver information display system. The front seats are heated, along with the steering wheel.
If you're looking for a Jeep Wrangler with off-road capability, the Rubicon is your trim level. The Rubicon comes with larger 33-inch all-terrain tires. It also has heavy-duty axles and low-range gearing. The Rubicon X has even more off-road features than the Rubicon, including steel bumpers, a three-piece hardtop, standard heated seats, leather upholstery, integrated navigation, premium Alpine sound system and more safety technology including blind-spot monitoring and rear parking sensors.
The High Altitude is the next trim level in the lineup. The High Altitude also has leather seats, along with an Alpine audio and more safety features including adaptive cruise control.
The Wrangler that tops the line is the Rubicon 392, which is equipped with a V8 engine, high-performance brakes, a suspension lift and Fox shocks.
Interior and Exterior
The Wrangler is equipped with many off-road components, but it is also a comfortable, tech-savvy and safe vehicle. The controls are easy to reach and use, and visibility out of the cabin is exceptional. The Jeep Wrangler also has many custom settings for occupants, including adjustable seats and an adjustable steering wheel. There are also grab handles to help you climb into your new Wrangler after a long day of adventuring outside Bakersfield.
In classic Jeep tradition, the Wrangler's exterior is sporty, rugged and easy to customize. You can choose from assorted tire sizes and roof designs to build your own custom Wrangler. The Rubicon has a special off-road appearance with larger tires and specialty shocks. Skid plates, tow hooks and fog lights are also standard.
Performance
There are several powertrain options available for the Wrangler. The base engine on the Wrangler is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that can provide San Fernando Valley families with up to 285 horsepower. You can also get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of producing up to 270 horsepower or a 6.4-liter V8 with the Rubicon that generates up to 470 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain is also available, which produces up to 375 horsepower.
Technology
The Jeep Wrangler is also filled with useful features and technology. You can choose from a hardtop or soft-top roof, and this year's Wrangler gets a standard 12.3-inch display screen. Santa Clarita drivers can access the standard Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration from here, along with options like SiriusXM® and HD Radio™. Many trim levels also have an upgraded driver information center and automatic climate control.
Safety
The Wrangler comes with a great range of safety and driver-assist features. These include things like a backup camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking alert and rear cross-traffic detection.
